After winning the British Columbia Kootenay Music Award’s Roots and Blues Album of the Year, Single of the Year, and runner up in the 2013 CBC Searchlight contest for Best New Artist in Canada, the Good Ol’ Goats have been touring and thrilling audiences with their highly energetic style of alt-folk across Western Canada. Now they have returned to the studio to create a second record that not only reflects their adventures on the road but also their evolution as a band. Featuring a new line up including dobro, piano and trumpet, the sound is fresh but yet still classic. Gorgeous vocal harmonies, clever, heartfelt lyrics, amazing instrumental chops and driving rhythms will have you chasing them from show to show!

"This highly original band of young musicians…seem to be rolling from success to success. It is not often that young musicians step completely out of the box, bypass the standard rock and roll quartet and write and perform original music. When was the last time you saw two banjos on a stage?" - Rod Wilson, Cranbrook Daily Townsman

"...some of the funkiest stuff you ever heard." - Shawn Parker, SNAPD Magazine

"These Goats Are Made for Rockin'!" - Barry Coulter, Cranbrook Daily Townsman

“…Try to imagine any member of the band not totally givin’ er at any moment. With less convincing groups, this all-out approach might appear indulgent, but everything about the Goats screams (literally, sometimes) youthful exuberance....the Goats aren’t afraid to be a little tongue-in-cheek when it comes to both their music and their aesthetic. From their rickety-ol band name to their antiquated song titles and subject matter, the Goats clearly have a fascination with the old, the mystical, the expired..."
- Eli Geddis, The Vurb, Nelson.

The Good Ol’ Goats are Nolan Ackert on lead vocals, banjo and guitar; Clayton Parsons on guitar, banjo, harmonica and dobro; Theo Moore on bass and backing vocals; Joelle Winkel on percussion and vocals; Danica Martin on piano, trumpet and vocals; and Julian Bueckert on drums.
